Welcome to the Season 5 CSGO Playoffs!

Monday, September 15th, 2014

We're pleased to announce that the Season 5 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Playoffs will begin on Sunday, September 21st.  We'll be releasing the Playoff brackets for each division on Wednesday, September 17th after some remaining event cleanup takes place.

A few quick notes on some postseason rule changes that you may not be familar with...

  • The regular season standings are determined using CEVO's proprietary CPI ranking system. You can read more about the CPI HERE.
  • For the most part, the match scheduling process will remain the same as the regular season, but match extensions beyond the deadline date listed on the brackets will not be permitted.
  • During the postseason, teams will have 2 hours from the time the match score is reported to file an official dispute. Disputes will no longer be accepted after the 2 hour window has expired.
  • All matches will be set with a default time of 9 PM CDT, but teams are encouraged to work together to find a time that works for both teams.

From all of us at CEVO, we sincerely hope you had a good time participating in our event and we'd like to wish the best of luck to all of the teams who will be participating in the s5 Playoffs, and to those of you who didn't make the cut this season, we look forward to seeing you again next season and/or in any of our off-season tournaments.

We enforce the permanent roster lock towards the end of each season to prevent teams from stacking up on the talent from teams that did not qualifiy for the playoffs and to encourage teams to remain together for duration of the season.

PRIZE CLAIM POLICY:

ALL roster members from each winning team must follow the instructions below to be eligible for payment. Players may begin sending in their earnings forms as soon as the final match in their specific event (ie. CS:GO Season 5) has been completed.

Every single player on the roster will receive an equal share of the team's prize money, regardless of whether or not they participated in any matches, and only players who have submitted their earnings forms within 30 days of the conclusion of the event will be paid out.

Players who wish to forfeit their share of the money to the rest of their team can do so during the prize claim process. All prize claims will be processed within 60 days. To submit your winnings request or forfeit your prize, please use the following instructions.

How to claim a prize:
1) Sign in to your account on CEVO.com
2) Click on “Manage Events” under the “MY CEVO” tab
3) Fill out the CEVO Prize Claim Form for each prize that you’d like to claim

Season 6 Team Registration
We've been getting plenty of questions about when our next season will open for registration and while its too early to announce many of our Season 6 details, teams can expect team registration to open sometime around mid/late October.

Our teams ranking effects what teams we play and where we stand. Why haven't all the tickets been answered? We had a team refuse to pause the game and disputed it 2 weeks ago.

On the support TS3 you said that they'd be looked at by the time the Regular Season was over. Now they're being ignored? Or am I missing something here.
